Amplify builds immersive curriculums for students in the digital age. I was hired a few months before the startup was acquired by a large company, and it has since grown into an educational software giant. Having worked at this company for 8 years you can see my influence throughout the product, whether it’s small UI insights and functionality, lesson header design or even creative pedagogy worked into the student activities.

Here's a video I put together to showcase the unbelievable amount of media used in our curriculum. I'm particularly proud of it because there was only one week to deliver it for a presentation.

Brain Science

Based on student and teacher feedback this is one of the most captivating units in the ELA curriculum. Brain Science is the non-fiction unit that uses the unbelievable story of Phineas Gage to teach students about neuroscience.

I created the unit's look and feel for the headers and thumbnails, as well as the internal lesson activity images. I also collaborated with the writer and digital content specialist to structure some of the more fun student activities.

Science & Science Fiction

Undeniably the most hip unit, it builds lessons around Gris Grimly's Frankenstein. It pairs the text from Mary Shelley's original book with the style and structure of a graphic novel.

I created the unit's look and feel for the headers and thumbnails, as well as the internal lesson activity images. Check out more of Gris Grimly's work here.
